British Columbia primarily uses the National Topographic System (NTS) map-sheet grid, with the Dominion Land Survey in the Peace River block.
What to know about British Columbia
- Most BC land, especially oil and gas, is described by NTS map-sheet position, not township and range.
- The Peace River block in BC's northeast is the exception, surveyed under the DLS off the 6th Meridian.
